Re|shelter officially dissolved

Environmental Illness housing non-profit “re|shelter” has been officially dissolved, or closed. The charity was formed in May 2010 by Julie Genser and Julie Laffin. Over the years, the non-profit disbursed $25,900 in individual housing renovation grants through their Safe Oasis Housing Grant Program – allowing 38 people with severe environmental illness to make improvements in their living environment and giving them hope and validation for their experience with this disabling condition. The website will remain online to remind others of the great need for financial and other assistance for this very vulnerable population. Julie Genser would like to publicly thank Julie Laffin, all members of the Advisory Board, as well as all past donors and supporters for your time, efforts, and love over the years. What we accomplished, we did together. While we are sad to close our doors, we look forward to seeing what/who steps in to fill the space — the need is great and there is much work to be done.
