Basic description: An insulated bedroom on wheels, with electricity and cable tv hookup, but no plumbing. The ceiling is 8 feet tall at the peak, inside. The windows are real vinyl house windows. The door is a steel door. It has never been slept in. It comes with a new full-sized mattress and a new portable electric infrared heater (iHeater).

Building Materials/Indoor Air Quality
Year built: It was finished in December 2010.
Construction: Built to MCS specifications.
Wall materials: Magnesium oxide cement over styrofoam. The walls have been sealed on the inside and most of the outside with diluted artist’s acrylic medium. Then the inside was painted with one coat of white Benjamin Moore no-voc paint. It has been airing out since December of 2010.
Insulation: 6 inches of Styrofoam in walls, floor and ceiling. The trailer is suitable for use in the winter, with a heating source inside.
Wood detailing: There is not a speck of wood in this trailer.
Flooring: It has a galvanized steel floor. The seams in the floor are covered with silver duct tape, to make it easier to sweep. The cracks where the walls meet the floor are filled with a bead of “Great Stuff” spray foam insulation, inexpertly applied by me. If you were to buy the trailer, the duct tape and spray foam could be easily removed.
Past repairs/renovations: None.
Current repairs needed: None.
Heating system: It comes with an electric infrared heater (an iHeater). It is in a plastic case. If you were to buy the trailer, it could be removed.
Cooling system: Besides two 3′ x 3′ windows, which provide cross ventilation, there are two vents under the eaves which provide continuous fresh air, even when it is raining or snowing and you have to close the windows. You could put sponges in the vents in extremely cold weather.
Does the trailer have all appropriate hookups?: It has a 30 AMP hookup for electricity and a hookup for cable TV. It has six electric outlets inside, including one which is 220 Volts and on its own breaker. This outlet was installed so that in the future one could install an Incinolet toilet. I decided to avoid running electrical wiring in the area where the bed would go. So the electrical stuff is all on the door side of the trailer.
What exactly is required to operate the plumbing, electric, and sewage in the trailer?: You need a 30 AMP cable, which is provided.
What cooking/food storage facilities are provided for?: None.
Bed frame/mattress provided?: There is a new full-sized mattress and box spring in the trailer. It has never been used.
Is there an eating and/or desk or work area?: No.
T.V. and/or computer box vented to outside?: No.
Other special features:
• There is a small uncovered storage area between the front of the trailer and the shelter.
• Even though the trailer is a small space, it doesn’t feel claustrophobic because of the tall ceiling and the windows.
• The electric wiring is all on the interior surface of the walls, where it is visible and accessible if you want to make changes.
• To assemble the trailer, I used a no-VOC construction glue called Speed Grip. It didn’t have any smell at all to me. I loved it.
• Magnesium oxide cement, which is used on the inside and outside of the trailer, is resistant to nuclear radiation. Hopefully you won’t need this feature! The windows would let it in, though.
• The shelter is not glued to the trailer bed. If one had the proper house-moving equipment, one could put the shelter on a concrete slab foundation and have a permanent little building.
• As far as personal care products go, I have spent several hours in the trailer and I use Pantene shampoo. One time in March I was in a hurry and I used a Target brand lavender scented Swiffer-type damp cloth to mop the floor. Now I regret that for your sakes. It has been airing out constantly since then.
• This trailer is not designed to be towed at freeway speeds. I tow it at 45 mph maximum.

Electromagnetic Fields
Are there any known EMF issues with the trailer?: No.
Is the electrical wiring shielded?: I don’t know, so probably not.
Is there a grounding rod?: No.

Mold
Is there a history of water damage of any kind?: No.
Have there ever been leaks of any kind?: No.
Was mold remediation ever completed in the trailer?: No.
To the best of your knowledge, is there currently high levels of mold or existence of allergenic, pathogenic, or toxigenic molds in your trailer?: There is not one speck of mold in this trailer from any past leak or water damage. However, there is something in the trailer that bothers me – my best guess is that the cement that I used to build the trailer may have been manufactured in a facility that had a bit of mold in the building. If my guess is correct, I don’t think the average MCS person would have a problem with it, since I am on the very severe end of the mold sensitivity spectrum. I could be wrong about this, though. You would have to test for your own personal tolerance.

Allergies
Pets that have lived in the trailer: No pets have ever lived in this trailer.
Known vermin infestations: No vermin have ever been in this trailer.

General
Where is the trailer located for pick up?: Gretna, Nebraska.
If you have MCS, do you tolerate the trailer yourself?: I have moderate MCS and extreme sensitivity to mold toxins. There is something in the trailer that bothers me. My best guess is that the cement that I used to build the trailer may have been manufactured in a facility that had a bit of mold in the building because there seems to be a tiny amount of mold toxins present. As far as I can tell, my mold sensitivities are far more severe than the vast majority of people with MCS. It may be perfect for someone else with MCS.
How long have you owned the trailer, and in that time how long have you lived in the trailer?: I have owned the trailer for 4 months. I have never lived in the trailer.
How long has it been empty and where has it been stored?: It has been parked at a KOA campground for 3 months and stored in a storage facility for a few weeks.
Why are you selling the trailer?: It didn’t work out for me, and I would love to see it go to someone who would appreciate the effort I put into making it non-toxic. If that doesn’t work out, I will have to sell it to a hunter or ice-fisherman.
Have pesticides ever been used inside or on the exterior of the trailer?: No, never.
Has a pet that was treated with Frontline, wore a flea collar, or had other pesticides applied to it ever lived or entered the trailer?: No.
How much does the trailer weigh?: Approximately 3,700 pounds.
What is the length and width of the trailer?: The outside dimensions are 101 1/2 inches by 194 1/2 inches. The inside of the shelter is 5′ x 10′.
Does it meet maximum height limitations?: It’s under 12 feet tall.
Does it require special permission to be transported on highways?: No.
What type of hitch does the trailer have?: It is a 2 inch ball with a four flat plug. The shelter sits on an Aluma 7712H trailer. It’s a very good quality, solid aluminum trailer.
What type of truck is required to pull it?: I’m not sure.
Do you know anyone in the area who can transport the trailer for me?: I’m sorry, I don’t know anyone. I have been moving it using a rental U-Haul pickup truck.

Due to the nature of the illness, potential MCS buyers/renters will need to stay in a trailer overnight, or for an extended period, before committing to a purchase or long-term lease. Doing so puts the trailer owner at risk for potential contamination of the space. Are you willing to do this? Yes.

• Potential buyer/renter can stay overnight in trailer for up to 2 days before committing to purchase/lease at a fee of $0 dollars/night. You would have to tow it to a nearby campground and pay the campground fee.
• Please list all allowed and forbidden personal care products, bedding materials, laundry products, etc.: No fragranced products of any kind, no smoking or pets. I am trusting you to leave it in the same condition as you found it.
• Please detail house rules: Just generally be considerate of others who might want to use the trailer, if you decide not to buy it.
