Montrose, CO 81401 Houseshare available ~ $600/month
Description: Semi-private efficiency-type space with shared use of Heavenly Heat (medical detox) Sauna. I would like to share the downstairs of my home with someone (one adult only) aware of MCS / EI that is fragrance-free. Located in Montrose, a small city of about 20,000, about one hour from the majestic mountains of Telluride. But down in the valley, opening up to the desert, so it’s quite a bit warmer, lower in elevation, and longer, warmer summers. But still close enough to the mountains to enjoy them.
I chose this area to live for the clean air and clean water; and less mold issues in the arid West than east of the Rockies. The space is a very bright, very clean, walk-out basement, with plenty of windows, southern sun and natural light. One large living room; and separate bedroom with closet.
Has a full bath, and simple kitchenette amenities: microwave, toaster oven, full size fridge, 2 burner electric cooktop. It is a semi-private living area, with a private entrance. (Semi-private because the only sharing is the laundry room. Otherwise the whole downstairs is separate / private.)
Most significantly: Will happily share the use of my Heavenly Heat Sauna, for someone that would like to jump-start his or her recovery with this wonderful, therapeutic support. Using it has made a huge difference in my health. I would LOVE to be able to share this powerful benefit with someone.
The home is not built specifically ‘non-toxic’ …but I can say: After looking at and being in (literally) about 100 homes over the past 3 years, as I’ve been on a quest for healthier housing, in many different parts of the country, this is one of the cleanest, most healthy-feeling, most comfortable homes I’ve been in. It can be rented furnished or unfurnished – your choice.
Wired Broadband provided. No wi-fi / wireless. (I am EMF sensitive, but still use a cell phone occasionally, so the space is not completely EMF-free.)
No pets, no smoking.
May not be appropriate for someone with severe MCS/EI. But for the average ‘canary’ (if there’s such a thing) those with the seemingly most common and moderate level reaction issues, who can still function fairly normally, it would probably be great.
Mature, responsible, financially stable, healthy life-style and environmentally conscious only, please.
Send some info about yourself if you are interested, and let’s see if it might be a match. I can send more details about the house, too. (If it takes me a few days or even a week to reply, it doesn’t mean I’m not interested. Just that I’m quite busy.)
With Empathy…If this isn’t a good option for you, sincere best wishes in finding a wonderful safe home
I know how hard it can be for some of us sensitive-ones. May you find just what you need…quickly and easily.

I am looking to move out west, possibly Colorado. Will be coming out that way in a few weeks to check out different areas. Will you be using gas heat or the radiant heat? I don’t know if I can tolerate gas heat or not. Please contact me at 386-492-7316 to discuss. Rosemary
