I am a planner by profession and I became ill with chemical sensitivity/electrical sensitivity and had to flee my home. I have been on the road for the last 5 months. Currently I am on unemployment and am trying to get healthy.

Please let me know how I can participate.

    Thank you,

Today on Good Morning America was a segment about Warren Buffet’s sister Dorothy Buffet who is giving all her money away. She is not giving huge amounts, but Warren Buffet has given large amounts of money to organizations. Perhaps you can contact her and tell her what is needed and maybe Warren Buffet would also help.

I am so glad you are starting this. I had thought it was needed and knew I did not have the energy or mental skills to run a housing grant or fundraising organization. I am so happy to help donate so count me in for a monthly payment. It won’t be much, but if we all help by donating a little, it will help many who need the help.

    Many blessings!!!

Maureen, so sorry to hear you are on the road yourself. I removed your phone number to protect your privacy but saved it in our files so I can contact you in the future. I will be in touch once we get a handle on all the emails and offers we have coming in. Blessing to you!! Julie G.

Very scared my husband had quadruple bypass surgery and work did not help while he was home recovering. We have moved about 8 times and at least I have done okay in my apartment even though I have to walk many stairs to do wash, and they don’t keep the area clean enough.

I have been writing for 12 years regarding water damaged buildings and the chemicals in our homes, products.

Ver worried we might lose our place. No reason for so many to have to live this way. Thanks Julie and Julie for all your work.

My heart goes out to you and your husband. It’s so destabilizing to live under these conditions. And thank you for writing about these issues. It’s a tremendous help to everyone with EI to get the word out and raise awareness about the difficulty of procuring safe housing. We are only in the infancy of our efforts to raise funds, but please stay in touch with us. We will publish updates on all our activities.
    warm wishes,
    Julie L

Those who are suffering should look at the recent laws being passed about military service. Diabetes and heart disease can be a result of having been exposed to Agent Orange. The new law allows those who were not on land but at sea off the coast during the Vietnam War. Some have been able to draw military disability. Also, Penny Goforth in San Diego is a really caring Grant Writer. I can give you here info, and you can contact her and see if she has suggestions.

Working here in New England on the same topic, I have found assistance with carpentry and with setting up a land trust, but am funds. I would like to raise funds, but am currently in limbo as far as nonprofit status, despite working towards an agreement with another organization. Is there any way we could work together to speed this along?

I have been working in the construction/materials/export industry for more than 30 years. All of my co workers have passed away horribly (40+)due to toxic chemical exposure( we were unaware of the danger.) I was the only one treated because the company shelled out the cash to the medical team for treatment …the doctors would not work with the biased insurance industry whom have a negative agenda. OSHA EPA CDC,Justice dept. etc all looked the other way. A real crime.
To make a long story short …there is no housing in this USA that follows the archaic building codes that is non toxic. There are materials that are available but not approved. I have 33 acres 15+ miles from Mickey D-land that I will sell and use the money to do a start up real-secure safe shelter construction company that will be FREE FROM EMF’s,Mold, Radon, Radiation, chemical, gas, noise wind, fire, flood, hurricane, tornado, rodents, bugs, mites etc Faraday Cage made of fused Borosilicate, basalt, magnesium-calcium as primary materials and here is the kicker not expensive if mass produced/ Unit under 10K. I need about 30K an acre for the farm to kick start this / the benefits are massive to everyone that are living on the razors edge health-wise. The big negative is the building permits/codes etc but w/legal team I can get it built as a storm / bomb shelter /greenhouse etc it would not get an occupancy permit but in a few states without a major court battle.PS it does not waste trees and fast-track construction.
