Monet’s toxic teepee

Before recovering enough to move into her current house, Monet tried living in this teepee. But when the rainy season came, the owner covered it in plastic and the offgassing made her very ill.

During her homeless years, Monet was forced to live on a friend’s property, where she found an old abandoned guest house. She lived there for a while until she found other options. Seeking out unusual housing alternatives such as these is par for the course for many with environmental intolerances.
